Special Olympics Coach, Legal Expert, and Advisor to Businesses and Athletes
I am an entrepreneur, lawyer, and Special Olympics basketball coach and administrator. Currently, I work in higher education at Cornell University, where I advise student startups across various industries and help student-athletes navigate Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities. I'm also working toward becoming a basketball agent.
In the past, I was involved in several startups—some achieving successful exits and others experiencing epic failures. I’ve held the title of Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Grand Valley State University and currently serve as an adjunct faculty member at Michigan State University College of Law.
I earned my BA in Economics from Kalamazoo College and my JD from Michigan State University College of Law. Additionally, I’ve completed several graduate-level certificates from Cornell University and an executive certificate from Eastern Michigan University.
Outside of my professional life, I’m a single father, goat farmer, and passionate food enthusiast. I dedicate time to community projects as a lawyer and volunteer, and I’m an active member of my church. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and often travel around the Great Lakes.
